My first book Jesus in the Victorian Novel: Reimagining Christ looks at how Victorian novelists explored the Incarnation through fiction. In doing so, they shifted the focus from what Jesus did (specifically dying for the sins of the world) to who Jesus was: a real man in real history.

I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Dr. Jay Miller—host of the George Fox Talks podcast—to discuss these questions. Check out our conversation and learn why it’s hard to write a novel about Jesus, how our theology shapes the stories we tell, and what we can learn about the Gospels from novels about Jesus.
